Hi, everyone. I’m Blake and welcome to my new blog, The Southern Committee. For you to understand this blog you must first understand just what southern is.
south· ern adjective \ˈsə-thərn\ “Growing up southern is a privilege, really. It’s more than where you’re born – it’s an idea, a state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It’s more than loving fried chicken, college football, and country music. It’s being hospitable, being devoted to porches & sweet tea, and to each other. We don’t become Southern – we’re born that way.”
You now know what being southern is all about. You can look forward to some good posts in the coming weeks at TSC. If you want to learn more about TSC or me, stop by and check out my about page.
Now with Football season nearing I leave you with two of the most important words in the south, Roll Tide. They can be used in various ways, from acknowledging someone, to a touchdown celebration, or even saying hey to mom. As how you want to use them, I’ll let you decide.
Until next time. Roll Tide!
